The Prep School
DBC teamed up with The Prep School early in the process and provided design-assist services for Civil Engineering, permit expediting and construction coordination with the project design team out of Atlanta Georgia.
About this Project
The Prep School is a franchise child care company from Texas. Reno will be the first out of state facility for the franchise. The facility will host ~230 students and is set in a beautiful South Reno location. The playgrounds will provide plenty of space (nearly double the required SF) for students to enjoy the wonderful Nevada weather.

DBC self-preformed the 14,500 SF framing and roof truss construction in house. DBC will also self perform trades including drywall and acoustic ceilings to help mitigate schedule concerns with the ever-changing construction labor availability in Northern Nevada.
The Prep School is excited to bring their unique curriculum and learning environment to Reno. The facility is built for learning and provides students with
– Multipurpose room with gym equipment and basketball hoop
– Art/Cafe room
– The Zone – multipurpose room for children to interact with different ages and host after school activities.
– Tech – a computer tech room outfited with a lego light table, computer and tablet stations and interactive white board
